From the "Katrina Aftermath" Folder

Someone sent me the pictures above. These are post katrina t-shirts from New Orleans.

Everyday while traveling on I-55 south, which runs into New Orleans, I pass a FEMA truck pulling a camper. It is astounding that they are still pulling trailers south. It will be quite some time before this region of the country is anywhere close to back to normal.

I spoke with a friend who was in New Orleans recently. He explained to me that people are moving back into New Orleans. However, the poor parts of town are still empty. Odds are that the run down government housing that we all saw on TV will never be fully occupied again. Poor people can't afford to move back to New Orleans. And really, the poor people are probably better off in another city where they can *hopefully* find a job and break fee of poverty.
